Vocational Assessment
BEMW has provided expert vocational assessment and career counseling
services to individuals and outplacement and career management services
to
corporations, government, and schools in the metropolitan Washington
community since 1976. Irene Mendelson, president of BEMW, is an expert
in
vocational assessment, and has presented expert testimony in Virginia,
Maryland and District of Columbia courts both to buttress and to oppose
requests for support. She is licensed and nationally certified as a
professional career counselor and has counseled hundreds of individuals
in:
- Career issues, especially in the areas of career transition and job
loss. - Alimony determination, working with both lawyers and their clients.
- Self-assessment training, networking, self-marketing and communications training.
- The advanced-level course "Experts in Valuation" for the
Montgomery County Advanced Family Law Institute.
Litigation Support Services
BEMW, Inc.'s services are a valuable resource for any attorney with a
client in divorce proceedings. We can either work directly with a client,
or from documents or depositions. We offer individual counseling sessions;
a battery of assessment instruments; and a written report of employability
prospects, including a career development action plan. Beyond providing
an objective basis for the determination of alimony, our service can be
